christmas is over

well that's it Christmas is over and the New Year is about to be rung in. yippee here's to 2011 may we all be a bit more merry and wise.

I have also almost finished Georgia's 11 Years of Me.  I ad better hurry up or it will need to be 12 years of her, lol. here is a page I did last week (hurry hurry get it finished)

sorry I havent been here

but we have just had our christmas party for the auckland branch of the child cancer foundation and its been my job to organize for the last four years whew what a cracker this year.

had a busy few days

bugger Im knackered!  Ive been away from home for a few days as I am very bust with our child cancer foundation auckland branchs christmas party and this year northland are coming too so 700 people that means and 350 of them are under 12 and get presents.  Kathie and I have been busy picking up the wonderful donated prezzies and sorting them ready for the amazing ladies who come and wrap them all for us.  (I will admit in all the years Ive been doing this I have never wrapped a single gift)  here are some photo's of the before we sorted and after they are sorted into age and sex piles

loving this week

super excited my mum and dad have come to visit!  but on a sad note it did mean I didnt get to scrap book yesterday but I did make a couple of cards for the better scrapbooking design team call out (which I only just made the cut off I should tell you) fingers crossed!!!

but the cards,clever I must say to make the sweet as little flowers on the front:
1: cut a circle out of cardstock the size you wish you flower to be
2: cover with double sided tape ....easy....
3: starting at the outside edge turn your ribbon twisting and pressing as you go around
and around until you get to the centre!
4: add brad or button and volia your done

I also used my yummy medallion stamp from stampin up.

talking about geo, we went for a walk this morning to a waterfall at clevedon, well walk makes it sound like we went some way when it was like a two minute stroll from the car. going to be scrapping these photos thats for sure

what a loovely day

spent the day yesterday scrapping with my friends my doesnt the wednesday come around quick!!  Miss eleven though is not well got the dreaded lurgy and coughing and spluttering every where and thanks to the swine flu she is not allowed to go to school and spread her germs but really she is well enough to spend the day jumping around with the dog and playing on the xbox.

I didnt tell you about our lovely diner the other night,went to the Sahara Tent ...yum yum yum highly reccomend wish we had gone there years ago! and look thought Id upload some photo's of what I did yesterday. I am enjoying working in a 8x8 album for a change thats for sure!  Im over half way doing photos of Geo from birth to now.  its been a little trip down memory road I tell you!

today I found out I had won

today I got my G&T and yay I have won Octobers Layout challenge over at better scrapbooking thanks a bunch to Megan for picking my layout.  will upload when I get my hard drive off my sons xbox! oooh here we go.

So here I am years after everyone else started blogging and many are not any more, I decide to give this a go... not sure where I'm going with it but thought it might be a bit therapeutic.
